Our idea is to use the New York City Public Transportation System to raise awareness about the famine and drought in the Horn of Africa. Our slogan is "70% of the Earth's surface is covered in water. Why aren't 13 million people getting their fair share?"
Brooklyn, home to over 2.5 million residents, is the one of the best places to raise awareness about the Horn of Africa drought, famine and exodus. Brooklyn is a progressive, diverse place, with people who want to make a change in the world. We will use the $5,000 to create bus advertisements with our slogan on it. Having our “Fair Share” graphics and slogans on buses will be raising awareness on wheels. We will reach 50,000 people hourly, and inform them about the situation, thus motivating them to make a change.
