ClimateMama Earth Day Contest and Prize: Through, art, music, video song and stories, students from across the USA will “connect the dots” between their actions and our way of life in North America and the growing crisis of famine, war and drought in the Horn of Africa.
Create a nationwide competition for middle and high school students that showcases their creativity in connecting the dots between the growing climate crisis and the war, famine and drought unfolding in the Horn of Africa. Students will showcase how the most vulnerable and least responsible for climate change are impacted by our actions.
ClimateMama will introduce these connections on our site and promotes the competition via social media. Students will submit: art, music, video, essays, or any other creative entry to “connect these dots and work towards solutions.”
Winners will be announced around Earth Day 2012. Winners will receive an award and a donation will be made to USAID for FWD relief on their/their school’s behalf.
